Rules For Acton Lake

Posted: 11th April 2013 by admin in GHTS News, Tournament News

Please be aware of the new laws regarding Acton Lake. There is a four(4) fish limit. You are allowed two(2) over 15″ and two(2) under 15″. For all GHTS events at Acton Lake all boats will follow those laws. You will be allowed to have two(2) over and two(2) under only, no matter if fishing as a team or individual fishing alone.

All fish must measure according to the law. So if one of your under 15″ fish is actually over there will be a 1lb penalty and lose of biggest fish. If one of your over 15″ is actually short there will be a 1lb penalty. I also made multiple calls today to clarify the rule. If any fish is touching the 15″ mark it is considered an over fish.

If you have three(3) fish that measure over 15″ it will result in the lose of your biggest fish and a 1lb penalty.

Lastly if any fish appears to have been intentionally altered(tail cut) in any way it will result in a disqualification.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me at 513-285-2962.

I want to thank everyone for coming out to the GHTS at Middle Fork Reservoir. It was tough fishing but much better than the Brookville Lake debacle.

Marty Head and Jason Ketchem were able to hold on for the win with 3 keepers for 6.08. Marty and Jason just edged out Glenn Boone and Jim Diebold by 0.01. Jim and Glenn only had one fish but they really made it count with a great largemouth weighing 6.07. It was good enough to take 2nd place and big bass. Doug Cavin and Terry White finished in 3rd with 2 keepers for 4.93lbs. The father/son team of Chris and Dustin Burks finished in 4th place with 1 keeper for 2.03.
